Accessing eBooks
Destiny Discover
You can use either your district-issued iPad or a non-district device to read all of our ebooks at home!
- You will first need to sign into TIGERID.
- Using your district-issued iPad, click on TIGERID to sign in.
- Using a non-district-issued device, go to northallegheny.org to sign into TIGERID.
- From your dashboard in TIGERID, choose Destiny Discover. You will now need to click on Sign on with TigerID.
- In Destiny Discover, scroll down until you see ebooks and Interactive ebooks.
- Find the ebook you would like to read.
- For most of our Follet ebooks, you will need to click on checkout.
- You will be able to open and read ebooks right on your device by clicking on the menu bar and scrolling down to checkouts.
- Since these books can only be read by one person at a time, if the book is already checked out, you will be able to put it on hold by clicking the hold button.
- We also have ebooks that are multi-user and can be read by several people at the same time. These books will not have a checkout button. To read these books, simply click on Open.
- For Mackin ebooks, you will be asked to provide login information. These passwords were shared through Google Classroom.
- Since you are not actually checking out these ebooks, you might want to click on Favorites to make it easier to find ebooks that you are currently reading.
- You can also access Capstone ebooks through PebbleGo. Open the PebbleGo app, and in the top right corner, tap Capstone Interactive. These ebooks do not need to be checked out.
- Remember, ebooks are available throughout the entire year—including the summer!

SORA
You can use either your district-issued iPad or a non-district device to read all of our ebooks at home!
- You will first need to sign into TigerID.
- Using your district-issued iPad, click on TigerID to sign in.
- Using a non-district-issued device, simply download the app or go to soraapp.com/home.
- You will be able to search for North Allegheny School District, go to login.northallegheny.org to sign into TigerID.
- From your dashboard in TigerID, choose Sora.
- Now select North Allegheny School District from the select your school menu and click on Sign in using North Allegheny School District.
- Don't be alarmed if you are taken back to TigerID and asked to sign in again.
- You can connect to Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh/Northland Library if you choose. You do not have to have a Northland Library card to do this. TigerID will give you access to these books.
- Under Explore on the left side of your screen, you should see Allegheny Intermediate Unit 3. Click on that.
- If Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is not listed, you click on +Add a Library if you choose to do so.
- Search for Northland and then click on This is My Library.
- You must be signed in through Allegheny Intermediate Unit 3 first, otherwise, it will ask you for your public library card number.
- Now, click on Search for a Book at the top of your screen.
- Make sure that the Search all of my libraries box is checked.
- You should see ebooks from both Allegheny Intermediate Unit 3 and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
- To borrow the ebook, click on Borrow. You can also put a book on hold if it isn't available right now.
